This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle your information when you use Inventrix.

1) What we collect

• Account data (when activated): name, email, and authentication details if you create an account once sign-in is enabled.
• Profile & content: information you add (e.g., bio, links, uploads).
• Connected sources: with your permission, we may ingest metadata from services like Google Scholar and GitHub (e.g., publications, citations, repos, stars).
• Usage & device data: pages viewed, actions, IP-derived approximate location, device/browser info, and cookies or similar technologies.
• Support & feedback: messages you send us (email, forms).
• Investor inquiries: information you submit on our “For Investors” page, such as name, role, firm, and contact details.

2) How we use data

• Provide and improve the Service (incl. scoring and analytics features).
• Operate accounts, authentication, and security.
• Respond to inquiries and send transactional communications.
• Develop new features and understand usage.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

3) Legal bases (EU/UK users)

We rely on legitimate interests (to provide and improve the Service), contract (to deliver requested features), and consent (where required, e.g., email marketing or integrations).

4) Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run Inventrix (e.g., hosting, databases, email delivery, and analytics). We also share data when you connect third-party integrations (e.g., GitHub, Google Scholar), when required by law, to prevent harm, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal data.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described or as required by law. You may request deletion (see “Your rights”).

6) Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. No method is 100% secure; report issues to security@inventrix.app.

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where applicable, we use safeguards like standard contractual clauses.

8) Your rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data.
• Object or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

9) Children

Inventrix isn’t intended for children under 16. If we learn we collected such data, we will delete it.

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above. Continued use means you accept the changes.
